Juvederm™ is a synthetic dermal filler that is FDA approved for the correction of moderate to severe facial folds, wrinkles AND for lip Augmentation. Juvederm (like Restylane) is a smooth consistency gel made of hyaluronic acid – a naturally occurring substance in your skin that helps to add volume and hydration. It lasts for 8 to 12 months and in some instances up to a year. Juvederm is the same chemical compound (different manufacturers) as Restylane but MAY last a little longer! No skin testing is required. All injections are performed by a physician.

Juvederm is used to restore volume and fullness to your face and lips, smoothing out moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, as it plumps up the skin.

A tiny amount of the gel is injected into the skin by means of a very fine needle. The result is almost instantaneous, producing a long-lasting, natural enhancement, gentle and safe to your skin. The results are sustained for up to six months or even longer - almost twice that of collagen.

As Juvederm is a totally non-animal product, there is no risk of eliciting allergic reactions if you are sensitive to common foods, such as beef, chicken and eggs. Also, there is no risk of an animal-based transmitted disease as can happen with fillers such as collagen made from cow hide and hyaluronic acid made from rooster combs.

Biodegradable, over time, the NASHA gel is completely eliminated from the body, leaving absolutely no trace. When Juvederm breaks down, water takes its place. When totally absorbed, Juvederm turns into water and carbon dioxide and disappears without leaving any trace in your body.

Juvederm has a longer record of success with many satisfied users. Since 1996, more than 1,500,000 treatments have been successfully carried out all over the world.

Juvederm FAQ'S

1. What is Juvederm?

Juvederm is a natural cosmetic filler that restores volume and fullness to the skin to correct facial wrinkles and folds.

2. What is it made of?

Juvederm is made of a non-animal based hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance that exists in the body and is used to provide volume and fullness to skin.

3. Is it safe?

Yes. Physicians have used Juvederm since 1996. It does not require allergy testing, unlike other collagen fillers. Redness and swelling may occur after a treatment, which resolves within several days.

4. How often are treatments needed?

Treatments are commonly performed once a year with an occasional touch-up.

5. How is it different from Botox?

Juvederm is a dermal filler to fill in wrinkles and folds. Botox relaxes underlying muscles improving the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

6. Do I require any pre-treatments?

Avoidance of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents, aspirin, St. John’s Wort, and Vitamin E may minimize bruising at injection sites. Allergy testing is not required unlike other filler materials. Clients with a prior history of facial cold sores should notify our physicians prior to treatment to minimize risk of recurrence.
