The chemical skin peel has proven to be a very popular and effective nonsurgical cosmetic procedure. The process involves an application of a chemical solution to the facial (and neck) region, which results in the peeling away of the skin’s top layers. The depth of the peeling action depends on the type of chemical and how long the solution remains on the skin. Sun damaged, unevenly pigmented and finely wrinkled face and neck areas show marked improvement. If indicated, you may wish to combine this technique with other skin rejuvenation procedures or skin care products for truly astonishing results. At Skin Concepts Laser Center, we have a wide variety of different types of chemical peels depending on your specific needs. We offer the following:

•Glycolic acid
•Salicylic acid
•Lactic acid
•Trichloroacetic (TCA) acid

We also offer highly specialized blended types of chemical peels:

Vitalize – This is a self-neutralizing superficial peel with little downtime. It has a blend of alpha-hydroxy acids, beta hydroxy acids, resorcinol and retinoic acid; useful on mildly to moderately aged or damaged skin, acne-affected skin and acne-related hyper-pigmentation. Done in a series of peels (usually six), at two-week intervals, for optimal results.

Jessner – This is a superficial peel, but it is the “deepest” of the superficial peels that we offer. It has lactic acid, salicylic acid, resorcinol, resveratrol, raspberry fruit extract and lycopene; helps with aging & sun damaged skin, more severe acne, mild cases of rosacea and other pigmented conditions.

Most of the chemical peels (except for the deepest) have little to no downtime. The skin should begin to peel in 2-3 days. Makeup can be applied and sun block (30spf) is strongly recommended. Trust Skin Concepts to help you make the right decision.
